Goal 1: To establish a Five Star Area Catholic Community Liturgy Committee to coordinate the planning and scheduling of liturgical celebrations for seasonal and special celebrations for our Five Star Catholic Community.
Goal 1 Action Plan:
Step 1: By June 2020, the pastor is to invite two parishioners from each parish, and one choir director or choir members of each parish, to join him as members of this committee. The pastors will choose the first committee meeting date.
Step 2: Initially and periodically, the liturgical committee will be provided copies of key liturgical documents of the Church (e.g.- 'Sacrosanctum Concilium', 'Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship', 'Built of Living Stones: Art, Architecture and Divine Worship', etc.) and any Diocesan guidelines for worship. These shall be provided for private and shared review and reference.
Step 3: Establish a schedule for these committee members to meet at least biannually. This group shall also schedule annual trainings for all liturgical ministers from across the Five Star Catholic Community.
Step 4: With consultation of the pastor, members of this group and staff may consider developing training videos to assist liturgical ministers and establish lay leaders who can co-teach the trainings spoken of in Step 3.
