A Night at the Newsboys United Concert

A group of 35 students, parents, and guests representing St. Mary of Mount Carmel attended the Newsboys United concert in St. Cloud last month. What a great time of hearing the Gospel and fun music. We also got to hear from singers Ryan Stevenson (Audio Adrenaline) and Kevin Max (who used to sing with DC Talk). The Newsboys started out as their current band with lead singer Michael Taite (formerly in DC Talk). Later in the concert, they were reunited with founder and former lead singer Peter Furler along with former bass player Phil Joel-- a perfect way to help two generations of audiences come together as one! There was so much talent on the stage and a lot of enthusiasm among the filled out arena. We heard some great old songs and new songs-- the encore of "God's Not Dead" seemed to be what all the youth were most excited about. (Photo by St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church).
