This month, our students in the Religious Ed Wednesday program at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church have been thinking about the purpose God has for them. January 15, special speaker Sydney Athey from the St. Cloud Diocese Mission Office shared with our elementary Religious Ed students about looking at the heart of a person.
Using a little fruit, the students found that what's on the outside doesn't always describe what's on the inside of a person. They also learned about different saints and what it's like to be a sister in the Catholic church.
In the evening, Sydney and guest seminarians Daniel Ruprecht and Kevin Soenneker spoke about missions, vocations and discerning your call with about 50 teens and several adults.
